Aloo Paratha Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi


Aloo Paratha is a favorite Indian Recipe with hotness of red chili and tangy taste of amchur or dried mango powder. Aloo Paratha is famous North Indian Punjabi Recipe and a Yummy, Tasty Breakfast for any Foodie Recipe: Ingredients-
  • 2 chopped green chilies
  • 2 cups boiled potatoes
  • ½ inch grated ginger
  • Coriander leaves
  • Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Amchur powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon Jeera powder
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • Ghee
  • ¾ cups of water
Method:
  1. Boil potatoes in pressure cooker.
  2. Mash the potatoes using masher, make sure to mash it well.
  3. Mix green chilies, coriander and grated ginger. Add salt, amchur, garam masala, red chili powder and jeera powder.
  4. Mix it well.
  5. Take flour, salt and ghee in another bowl and knead the dough with sufficient amount of water.
  6. Rest the atta for 15 minutes and after 15 minutes knead the dough again one more time to make it smooth. Divide it into 8 equal portions.
  7. Now take one flatten dough ball at time. Dip it into dry flour and roll into 3-4 inch diameter circle using rolling pin and board.
  8. Put one potato ball in the center, gather the edges and pinch it into the center to seal it properly. Flatten using hands and roll it into around 6 inch diameter round. Roll it very very gently, making perfect paratha..
  9. Heat tawa or griddle on medium heat. Once hot place the rolled paratha on it and cook for few seconds.
  10. Flip it and cook other side as well. Apply some ghee on the surface. Flip again and cook it
  11. Once ready serve it with dahi and spread butter over the paratha.
